Mission and Goals

The mission of Summerfield is to provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation, and excellence in learning. Summerfield School joins the parents and community to assist the students in developing skills to become independent and self-sufficient adults who will succeed and contribute responsibly in a global community.

The main goal of our academic program is to develop students' ability to express thoughts, ideas and feelings, communicating clearly and confidently with others by showing an understanding of their responses, knowledge, and skills. We have team of experienced Academic professionals to continually carry out research and are dedicated only to work on the curriculum and update our textbooks and syllabi keeping pace with the recent advances.

The School

The school has been registered with the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Dhaka and now has three sections. Into the curriculum are interwoven activities to develop students academically, socially, and physically, so that they can contribute positively to society. Extensive preparations and a well thought planning has been involved behind achieving this stage. The teachers are regularly indoctrinated with the school’s philosophy and parental interaction is sought for the student’s positive development. As we continue our journey in excellence we continue to build the partnership between teachers, students and parents.

The Sessions

The school year operates on a July to June session, where each academic year is divided into four quarters. The on course evaluation is taken every week in forms of formal tests, assessed class works, projects and presentations. Two Term examinations are held and a comprehensive result is provided in a convenient format to assess the progress of individual student.

Curriculum

We give a high priority to the core subjects at an early stage in Mathematics, Language and Science. Also from a very young age, students are introduced to the discipline of History, Geography, Computer St., and Bangladesh Studies. Students are encouraged to assimilate their creativity with the knowledge and skill that are learnt in each class.

For the Ordinary Level Examination we currently provide 14 subjects under the consisting of Mathematics, English Language, Bengali, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Commerce, Pure Mathematics, Accounting, Computer Studies, English Literature, History and Art.
